Applications
The AP6203A/L is a 4-Low (Low-dropout, Low
-quiescent Current, Low-noise, Low-cost) linear
regulator with ON/OFF control and AP6203L can
discharge output capacitor charge fast. The device
operates in the input voltage range from +2.2V to
+7.0V and delivers 300mA output current.
The high-accuracy output voltage is preset at an
internally trimmed voltage 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V,
2.8V, 3.0V or 3.3V. Other output voltages can be
mask-optioned from 1.2V to 5.0V with 100mV
increment, except the AP6203A/L-LL which has
2.85V output voltage.
The AP6203A/L consists of a 1.0V reference
compare amplifier, a P-channel pass transistor, and
an enable/disable logic circuit. Other features
include soft start function, short-circuit protection,
and thermal shutdown protection.
The AP6203A/L is also compatible with low ESR
ceramic capacitors which give added output stability.
This stability can be maintained even during load
fluctuations due to the excellent transient response
of the chip. The AP6203A/L devices are available in
SOT-23-5 and UFN-6 packages.
